Amberly White's fine art photography practice focuses on fictional narratives about women in isolation. She creates psychological worlds in which the subjects seem to be disconnected from reality amongst the banal spaces.
Aside from her recent thesis work, she also documents the places she visits, on film and digitally, through street and concert photography. White has exhibited her work at Robert Frost Elementary School and Commons Grounds, both in Bourbonnais, Illinois, alongside the Texas State Galleries in San Marcos, TX.
White was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and now lives and works in Austin, Texas as the photo operations specialist for Memory Forward. She earned her BFA in Photography from Texas State University. While in school, she worked as a lab monitor for the photography building on campus as well as a digital technician for the university library.
